Well the first test is over and England scrape an ill-deserved draw, likely to be beaten by an entire innings if test matches had a limit of 6 days instead of 5.

I read all of Atherton et al's comments in the Times leading up to this. Even the casual anglophobe that is Ian Chappell was quoted as saying that England have a superior bowling attack in our own backyard conditions...........they must have been left stranded on the M4 as far as I can make out.
